Monitor Image Verses Actual Print
Computer Monitor Images And Photographs
Computer monitor images do not always look the same as an actual print, particularly if the monitor is not calibrated for optimal viewing of photographs. Some monitors do not have enough contrast to maintain the range of shades from highlight to shadow,...or enough color adjustment to produce the neutral greys or saturated color found in a print. My images contain details from highlights to shadows except in certain dramatic situations benefitting from a silhouette. If the photograph below does not have full details from the brightest spot to the darkest shadow...if you are not seeing neutral greys, then your monitor needs to be adjusted.
